Could a cyberattack paralyze Denmark?
Beskrivelse

How vulnerable is Denmark if our telecommunications infrastructure comes under attack? And are we truly prepared for the consequences of a large-scale cyber or hybrid attack?

In this session, Associate Professor Oksana Kulyk from the IT University of Copenhagen and Associate Professor Peter Mayer from the University of Southern Denmark present findings from their joint research into Denmark's cyber emergency preparedness. Drawing on interviews with Danish as well as Ukrainian authorities, critical infrastructure providers, and civilians living through cyberwar, they reveal how attacks on digital infrastructure can ripple through healthcare, transport, emergency response and everyday life.

Their research highlights that cyber resilience is about far more than technology. It also depends on preparedness, cross-sector collaboration and human behavior. The session offers a unique perspective on the lessons Denmark can learn from Ukraine and presents concrete recommendations for strengthening the country's resilience against future cyber and hybrid threats.
