Oksana Kulyk is an Associate Professor at the IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) and a member of the Center for Information Security and Trust (CISAT). Her research focuses on human and societal factors of cybersecurity, including such domains as cyberwarfare, election security and security and privacy issues affecting vulnerable populations. Her recent work leading the project “Optimising Denmark´s Cyber Emergency Preparedness”, funded by the National Center for Defense Technology, investigates the effects of geopolitical tensions on cybersecurity in organisations and threats of large-scale attacks on critical infrastructure. The project studies the experience of stakeholders in Ukraine in defending against cyberattacks conducted by Russia during the war and derives lessons learned for Denmark and other EU countries in improving their cyber resilience.
