Name
Unvieling UHAB-3: Groundbreaking underwater habitat for astronauts & science under water
Description

SAGA Space Architects is at the forefront of developing the next generation of underwater habitats, designed to train ESA's astronauts and conduct groundbreaking scientific research underwater that was previously deemed impossible. This unique habitat will be operational in 2027.
Join us in meeting chief architect Sebastian Aristotelis, the visionary behind this ambitious project, as well as Roberto Galeazzi, Head of the Centre for Collaborative Autonomous Systems, who will discuss how the UHAB-3 is a major player in shaping the next technological frontier of cyber-physical-human underwater systems to unlock the ocean's potential.
We will also meet Lars Bo Larsen, the Director of the National Defence Technology Centre, who will unveil the defence potential of the UHAB-3.
There is an increasingly pronounced integration of civilian and defense-related technologies. The domains of space and underwater operations are emerging as areas of significant military importance, prompting various countries to make substantial investments in both space and underwater technologies. In Denmark, we have research institutions and private entities contributing relevant technological advancements; however, there has historically been a lack of focus on fostering public-private partnerships from a defense perspective. In 2023, the National Defence Technology Centre was established, bringing together all Danish universities and GTS institutions in an effort to address this gap within the system. Could an underwater habitat enhance Denmark's international profile in defense technology and provide tangible value to our partners and allies?
Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the future of underwater exploration!
