Kaj Grønbæk is Professor of Computer Science at Aarhus University, where he has worked since 1994 and has been Head of the Department of Computer Science since 2018. His research covers human-computer interaction, augmented reality, interactive spaces, ubiquitous computing, visual analytics, hypermedia, participatory design and CSCW. For 15 years he headed the Center for Interactive Spaces. He has also led the EcoSense project and work packages in the DABAI and MADE Industry 4.0 projects. He sits on the board of DIREC, chaired ATV's “Digitale Vismandsråd” from 2021 to 2026 and was previously vice-chair of the Alexandra Institute's board. He is an experienced speaker and industry consultant in his research fields.
