Laura Klitgaard has served as President of IDA, the Danish Society of Engineers, since 2022, representing more than 170,000 members across engineering, technology, science, and IT. She also chairs Engineer the Future, a national alliance promoting STEM education among children and young people. Laura is trained as an architect and construction manager from Aalborg University and has spent a decade in the building sector, working with urban development, sustainability, schools, and major construction projects. Before becoming President, she served six years on IDA's executive board and today holds several board positions across academia, engineering, and science organizations.
