Michael Ustrup is a Senior Software Security Architect at Systematic A/S, with over a decade of hands-on experience embedding security into business-critical systems. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Aarhus University (2006) and a Master's in Cyber Security from IT Vest (2023). Michael joined Systematic as a System Engineer and later moved into security. He wrote Systematic's Secure Development Lifecycle and a course on Secure Software Development and Threat Modelling, which he teaches worldwide. Today he supports the CISO on software security and stays active in projects through the Purple Team, a security-focused team he created.
