Paul Østergaard advises the Defence Command on AI and is head of the newly established AI Centre (AI-Center, FAIC), applying three decades of experience building technology companies and entrepreneurship. He shares the view that Denmark should take the lead in the use of AI both civilian and military. If the Armed Forces are to achieve the ambition of a leading position in AI, they need to collaborate with civilian forces outside the Armed Forces. Therefore, Østergaard is working on more dialogue between educational institutions, universities and companies.
