Monica Ladekarl, PhD, is a midwife and researcher at Copenhagen University Hospital – Hvidovre, Denmark. Alongside her clinical work, she contributes to quality improvement initiatives in maternity care. Her research interests include obstetric telephone triage, early labour, patient safety, digital health, and the application of artificial intelligence in maternity care.
Her research has included maternal mental health, resilience-building interventions during pregnancy, women's experiences of early labour, and the evaluation of clinical interventions in obstetric care. She is currently involved in the development and evaluation of AI-supported solutions for obstetric telephone triage, with a particular interest in clinical workflows and multilingual communication.
