Jan Madsen, Professor and Head of Department at DTU Compute – Applied Mathematics and Computer Science - and “Digital Vismand” for the and Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV). Jan’s research includes methods and tools for systems engineering of computing systems, covering microelectronics (chip design), microfluidics (Lab-on-Chip) and molecular computing (synthetic biology). Jan is a member of ATV’s council for Technology and Society and engaged in the role of universities to ensure ethical and responsible development and deployment of digital technologies, ensuring open, inclusive and democratic societies
