I am a physicist, with Ph.D. (2002) and Dr.Techn. (2018) degrees from the Technical University of Denmark. I have a track record as a prolific and renowned scientist in physics, photonics, nonlinear systems, quantum optics, and applied mathematics. 

Since 2018 I have been with the Novo Nordisk Foundation, working with stakeholders across the public and private domains, discovering new trends, providing solutions, and creating partnerships that define tomorrow’s opportunities. I work as a scientific expert, and I have been part of shaping the Foundation’s strategy within the natural and technical sciences areas. My scientific expertise lies within quantum technologies, AI and data science, physics, applied mathematics, technical sciences, health tech, energy, climate, carbon capture storage and utilisation.
