Through historic investments into basic research in quantum technologies, Denmark has a unique academic position to translate these cross-cutting technologies into innovative products and solutions. With the recent launch of the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme, and the decision to locate the NATO DIANA Quantum Centre in Denmark, we are striding towards establishing a “Quantum Valley Denmark”. This talk will focus on what it takes to prepare quantum to become the next Danish tech and industry adventure, and will try to answer: What kind of global societal challenges will the technology be able to solve, in particular within life science, and what opportunities might there be for Danish companies.
