Kristian Pedersen is Head of the Technology Department in the Development Division at the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO). He holds a PhD in astrophysics and has built a distinguished career in research and university leadership, including as professor, institute director and Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Aarhus University.

Today, Kristian brings this combination of scientific expertise and leadership experience to the Danish Defence, where he is helping build stronger technological capabilities and accelerate innovation. His focus is on turning emerging technologies and research into practical defence capabilities, while strengthening collaboration between the Defence, academia and industry. In a rapidly changing security environment, he is particularly focused on creating the structures, partnerships and technological expertise needed to move from ideas and research to action.
