Allan P. Engsig-Karup is an Associate Professor in Computational Mathematics at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Technical University of Denmark. He has worked for more than two decades on computational science and engineering topics, spanning computational mathematics, scientific computing, and scientific machine learning. His research interests focus on developing new fast, scalable, and robust methods for engineering applications. In areas of scientific computing, he worked with numerical analysis and advanced numerical methods for physics-based modeling and solving partial differential equations, iterative solvers for large systems of equations, uncertainty quantification, and high-performance computing. In the area of scientific machine learning, he focuses on solving both forward and inverse problems that require physics-based simulation techniques, deep learning, surrogate and reduced-order modeling.
