Marie Ertner’s research focuses on digitalization, ageing and care to explore the interrelated sociomaterial, ethical, and sensorial effects of welfare technologies as they are being designed, articulated, implemented, and used in practice. Located in the intersection between Co-design, ethnography and Science and Technology Studies, her research develops ethnographic knowledge of digitalization and eldercare practices and seeks to develop ways for design and ethnography to contribute to shaping more sustainable futures of digitalization and elderly care.
