Mikkel Sørensen is the Managing director of DTU Skylab, the Technical University of Denmark’s award-winning innovation hub. Most recently, Mikkel was also appointed CEO of DTU Skyfactory, a new entity focused on accelerating startups into scaleup trajectories. Mikkel is an EU innovation adviser and a recognized ecosystem builder with a strong track record of turning ideas into impact.

At DTU Skylab, Mikkel has led the development from a small pilot initiative into a vibrant innovation environment with more than 60 employees and 60,000 ft² of facilities supporting around 400 startup projects each year. With DTU Skyfactory, he now also focuses on helping science-based startups grow into internationally significant scaleups through long-term support contributing to the broader mission of building a Europe that scales.
