Jakob leads MASH Makes' long-term strategy and scale-up. He co-founded the company in 2015 with a vision to turn decades of promising academic research within thermochemistry into gigaton-scale impact. Although from an engineering background, he has spent his entire career working at the intersection between the commercial and the technological.
As such, Jakob has spent his entire career in or working with deep-tech start-ups, with founder and leadership roles in the clean-tech venture space. He also did a PhD research project at DTU focused on how deep tech concepts can be commercialised in startups.
He holds a master’s degree and PhD from the Technical University of Denmark, with a focus on design, innovation, and engineering for sustainability.
