Philippe Bonnet is a Professor at DIKU, the Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen. He is an experimental computer scientist with a background in database systems. For thirty years, he has explored the design, implementation, and evaluation of database systems in relation to successive generations of computer classes, including wireless sensor networks, computer clusters, and most recently, computational storage. Philippe is a trustee of the VLDB Endowment and currently serves as the chair of ACM EIG on reproducibility and replicability. He is the co-author of the book "The Principles of Databases and SSD Co-Design," set to be published in October 2024.
