Javier Gonzalez leads Samsung Semiconductors’ Global Open-ecoSystem Team (GOST), where he oversees ecosystem activities and manages a distributed team of highly talented engineers. Javier is also the founder and site manager of Samsung Semiconductor Denmark Research (SSDR)— the only European research branch of Samsung's Memory business, dedicated to advancing storage device technology (data center and enterprise SSDs) and memory chips (DRAM). Javier contributes to a wide range of open source projects, including the Linux kernel, as well as the NVMe specification. He holds a PhD in operating systems from the IT University of Copenhagen and is a regular speaker at top storage industry conferences.
