Thomas Hildebrandt is a professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, founder of the research section on Software, Data, People, and Society, and head of the upcoming Data Steward master's program. For over 15 years, with support from the Innovation Fund Denmark and the Independent Research Fund Denmark, Thomas has researched methods and technologies for flexible and reliable digitalization of workflows and business processes in both the private and public sectors, including the responsible use of AI.

In 2018, this research led to the founding of the company DCR Solutions, which provides technology to companies like KMD and is widely used for digitalizing workflows in the public sector. Thomas is also a member of the Danish Standards Committee on AI, leading the development of the standards that will form the basis for the new EU AI regulation.
