Jesper Wengel is Vice-Dean of Innovation and External Relations at the Science Faculty, University of Copenhagen. Prior to that he was Professor of Bioorganic Chemistry at University of Copenhagen and University of Southern Denmark, and has been heading several research centers of excellence and was an ERC-advanced grant recipient. In parallel he has been engaged in entrepreneurial and innovation-directed activities, and he is co-founder of the companies RiboTask ApS and SenseMyDiet ApS. He has published more than 425 research papers in international journals and is the co-inventor on more than 20 patents and patent applications.
