Frederik Otzen Bagger is the Head of Bioinformatics Department of Genomic Medicine, largest clinical bioinformatics team in Northern Europe, 15 person strong with full DevOps structure for bioinformatics development in continuous production delivering >10.000 clinical reports every year, over diverse diseases, in ISO accredited bioinformatics workflows.

He is the Bioinformatics Facility Manager for National Genome Center with prospect of sequencing 60.000 whole genomes, and run a research group investigating explainable deep learning for mRNA expression data, clinical transcriptomics, and deep learning for protein binding predictions and variant calling optimization. Frederik is a Danish delegate for ISO in Genomics Informatics and scientific advisor of several Danish start-ups. The Bioinformatics team at Genomic Medicine won international FDA somatic mutation calling challenge.
