Mikkel Baun Kjærgaard is a Professor in Software Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Aarhus University in 2008. He conducts research within the area of software engineering and ubiquitous computing with a specific focus on sensing systems, machine learning and user interaction. His research methodology focuses on experimental foundation at the intersection of ubiquitous computing, machine learning and system research with applications within Internet of things, robotics, and smart buildings. He headed and participated in several research projects with a high level of industrial involvement and participate in the leadership of several large initiatives. I head the software educations at SDU. As a vice head of SDU Software Engineering I lead the development of research activities.
