Mahyar is a professor (assistant) of Software Engineering at SDU. His research involves hu-man-oriented software engineering, software architecture, sustainable software, and control of self-adaptive systems, mainly in the Internet of Things domain. He developed the novel approach of the Internet of Behaviors (IoB) design, which uses intelligent connected systems to gather data and further impact human behavior and decision-making. He teaches and supervises projects in mobile software development and cloud computing. He has experience managing and participating in national and EU projects in Italy, France, Sweden, and Denmark.
