Advances in AI and VR/AR set forth the next-generation of spatial interfaces that is poised to transform human capability, productivity, and efficiency. State-of-the-art consumer devices (Apple Vision Pro, Microsoft Holo Lens 2) are ushering in a UI revolution through a novel class of spatial interfaces designed for eyes, hands and voice in concert.
In this talk, I will be sharing insights into the foundational principles of spatial eye-hand interfaces. Grounded in a rich history of scientific research since the 80s, I will embark on a journey through the evolution of interfaces, spanning the past to the present. The talk will illuminate how these developments can redefine our future digital information experiences, bridging the gap between humans and computers seamlessly.
