This session brings together representatives from the Confederation of Danish Industry and academia (University of Copenhagen, IT University of Copenhagen).
We will discuss some of the challenges with integrating generative AI into industry applications, including the challenges of adapting general-purpose models to specific business cases, and development of high-quality language models for languages with less resources, such as Danish. We will also discuss the challenges and opportunities of generative AI in education, both in the academic setting and in the continued education of the public.
Finally, we will address the question of what new skills the industry needs now and, in the future, both in terms of basic understanding of generative AI-models and in terms of highly specialized AI-experts and how the universities can adapt to the future needs. The evolving landscape of generative AI may necessitate finding new modes for interaction between Danish industry and research institutions.
