Prof. Sven Nõmm has been dealing with different aspects of AI for more than twenty five years.  He received his Ph.D. from École Centrale de Nantes et Université de Nantes jointly with Tallinn University of Technology in 2004. His research interests are spanned by applications of machine learning and more advanced AI techniques in such areas as diagnostics of cognitive disorders, remote sensing, cybersecurity, and explainable AI. He has authored or co-authored more than hundred journals and top-tyre conference papers. Currently he holds a tenured associate professor position in the department of Software Science and is the lead TalTech-AI competency centre.
