Pepa Atanasova is an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) at the University of Copenhagen. In her work, she strives to make machine learning models for automated fact checking more interpretable and reliable by shedding light on their decision-making processes, especially regarding how they store knowledge in their internal parameters and how they utilise externally provided evidence. Ultimately, her goal is to foster a more informed and accountable information ecosystem, empowering different stakeholders to make well-informed factual judgments despite the abundance of online misinformation
