From Lagging to Leading: Responsible AI Adoption in Danish Software Engineering
Description
Generative AI is reshaping how software is built—but its adoption in Denmark remains fragmented and often misaligned with the values of trust, transparency, and human-centeredness that define our software culture. This session presents insights from the national AI4SE1DK initiative, a Grand Solutions project supported by the Innovation Fund Denmark, involving leading universities, RTOs, and companies like Systematic and Software Improvement Group (SIG). Together, we’re co-developing AI tools and practices tailored to Danish software organizations. We will showcase how responsible, context-aware AI adoption can enhance productivity without compromising team climate or ethical standards. The session features case studies with European Spallation Source and one SME partner, highlighting both technical breakthroughs and organizational learnings. Expect an honest, evidence-based discussion—and actionable insights for decision-makers navigating the GenAI hype.
