NOORDAN was founded with a vision to change the fashion footprint by innovating and re-engineering the footwear industry and it’s supply chain. The fashion industry accounts for up to 10% of the global CO2 emissions making it one of the most polluting industries of our world. Overproduction, lack of systems and incentives for recycling, poor working conditions, standardized sizes, and a fast fashion industry encouraging a throwaway culture are just some examples of unsustainable practices within the industry. These are some of the problems we are on a mission to solve.

NOORDAN designs and manufactures circular footwear by combining technology with classic shoemaker craftsmanship with consideration for people and the planet. A NOORDAN shoe is produced on-demand and constructed of a 3D-printed sole and upper leather made according to the measurements of the customer’s feet. Moreover, a NOORDAN shoe is designed for disassembly to create better opportunities for repair and recycling of the product.

With this on-demand production of customized and circular footwear, we strive to minimize overproduction, create long-lasting products with the right fit and comfort for the customers and establish a system and incentives for recycling the shoes. We aim to change the footwear industry – one step at a time.
