The biodiversity crisis, threatened ocean environment, and a concern of contaminants in conventional seafood products are exemplifying the urgent need for the development of new seafood options. Creating Seafood with a Clear Conscience represents an initiative to develop cell-cultured seafood, ultimately contributing to improve Danish food production. By cultivating seafood directly from genuine marine cells in bioreactors (in vitro), it is possible to create a high-quality, clean, and safe seafood product. This approach will allow production of high-quality food for millions of people over time while circumventing further damage to the environment.
