Johannes Bjerva, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in Data, Knowledge, and Web Engineering at the Department of Computer Science, Aalborg University (Campus Copenhagen). His research is in the area of Natural Language Processing (NLP), and is characterised by a focus on interdisciplinary interaction between linguistics and NLP. In 2022 he was awarded an Accelerate grant from the Carlsberg Foundation which funds three PhD students and a three-year postdoc, enabling him to establish a lab focusing on this interaction. He is also a recently elected member of The Young Academy, under the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters.
