The session will briefly present recent developments of aerial drone technology for operation in hard to access environments, where human safety and operational reliability are paramount. Inspired by these current developments, the speakers will discuss some of the key technologies to enable higher level of autonomy for aerial drones and engage in complex tasks demanding sensing and acting capabilities
