Jan Madsen is Head of DTU Compute, the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technical University of Denmark. He is a professor in computer-based systems and an experienced leader in research and innovation at the intersection of computing, data, and engineering. His work spans digital technologies, systems design, and the role of data and AI in addressing societal challenges. As department head, he drives DTU Compute’s mission to combine scientific excellence with real-world impact in collaboration with industry and public institutions.
