Europe is desperately lacking large tech companies that can serve as a counterbalance to the major American and Chinese firms. So why aren’t they emerging and growing big in Denmark? What are we missing?
Unique knowledge from universities, for example about the next generation of language models, should be an obvious starting point. But are we skilled enough in Denmark to turn knowledge into businesses? And when these unique companies are created, how do we get them to scale in Denmark?
In this debate, we will discuss the question and look beyond the quick answers, such as simply needing more money. Is there something we've overlooked in our approach to knowledge-based startups and retaining tech companies?
