Introduction and welcome by Nicola Dragoni, Professor, Debuty Director & Head of Cybersecurity Engineering at DTU Compute
According to ENISA, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of the EU's economy. They represent 99% of all businesses in the EU and employ around 100 million people. SMEs are facing major cybersecurity challenges.
Low-security budget, lack of cyber-skills and increase in cyber-attacks can seriously impact SME's competitiveness and compromise the value-chain they are connected to. Achieving cybersecurity requires a correct understanding of the risk picture.
This keynote presents experiences regarding the maturity and needs of cyber-risk management within the SME sector. It also recommends a way forward.
