Dr. Sadasivan Puthusserypady's academic journey reflects his unwavering dedication to Biomedical Engineering. He earned his B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electrical Engineering and Control Systems Engineering, respectively, from the University of Calicut, India. In 1995, he achieved his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India, followed by a Research Associate role at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, until 1996. His pursuit of expertise led him to a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at McMaster University, Canada, from 1996 to 1998, before assuming the role of Senior Systems Engineer at Raytheon Systems Canada Ltd. In 2000, he ventured into academia as an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore, where he served until 2009. Today, he stands as an accomplished Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark, Denmark.

His research passions encompass Biomedical Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs), Digital Health, and Home Health Care systems, embodying his commitment to advancing technology for societal betterment. Dr. Puthusserypady's extensive research endeavors have yielded more than 180 research publications in esteemed peer-reviewed journals and international conferences, with notable achievements including a "Best Paper Award" and a "Best Poster Award." Furthermore, he has authored a widely acclaimed textbook on “Applied Signal Processing”, which has garnered global recognition and is highly regarded by both academics and students alike.
