Rune Møller Jensen holds a PhD in AI from Carnegie Mellon University. His research has for the last 15 years focused on developing scalable optimization algorithms for container vessel stowage. He is the founder of Optivation and Sealytix that since 2013 have developed stowage optimization products for leading shipping companies such as Maersk and CMA CGM. Rune co-authored the first book on stowage planning in 2018 and has 80 scientific publications including a patent on an AI technique for stowage optimization.
